ヤンテの法則
ヤンテという架空の町のルール十カ条。
控えめで平等を好む気質のデンマーク人を表す言葉として知られている。
1.Don't think that you are special.
自分が特別だと思ってはいけない。
2.Don't think that you are of the same standing as others.
他の方と自分が同じだとは思ってはいけない。
3.Don't think that you are smarter than others.
他の方より自分が賢いと思ってはいけない。
4.Don't fancy yourself as being better than others.
他の方より自分が優れているとは思ってはいけない。
5.Don't think that you know more than others.
他の方より自分が物知りだとは思ってはいけない。
6.Don't think that you are more important than others.
他の方より自分が大切であると思ってはいけない。
7.Don't think that you are good at anything.
自分一人で何でもできると思ってはいけない。
8.Don't laugh at others.
他の方を笑ってはいけない。
9.Don't think that any one of us cares about you.
気遣ってくれると思ってはいけない。
10.Don't think that you can teach others anything.
他の方に何かを教えられると思ってはいけない。
